6 Funding and Grant Writing
The HEDCO Institute is primarily funded through donor gifts to the College of Education. We also apply for competitive grants through funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). Our faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for grants that align with their interests and our mission. The University of Oregon provides information on best practices for grant writing.
Students
Our undergraduate scholars are compensated through generous support of donor gifts to the College of Education (see Section 7). The College of Education also has various scholarships and funding opportunities for students. At the university level, other financial resources are available such as:
